Job Title: Assistant Finance Controller Corporate

Level: Assistant General Manager (AGM)

Reporting to: Finance Controller

Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) with 10 to 12 years of experience, must have worked in Listed Companies

Role Purpose

The Assistant Controller Corporate will be responsible for driving corporate financial controls, ensuring accurate and timely closure of books, compliance with accounting standards, and supporting statutory audits. The role will also oversee plant-level controls through coordination with cluster factory controllers and ensure robust governance in financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Corporate Controls & Compliance

  2. Lead corporate financial control processes including leases, SAP authorizations, AUC process, chart of accounts, and employee accounting.

  3. Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements.

  4. Drive continuous improvement in financial governance and control framework.

  5. Books of Accounts & Period Closure

  6. Lead the timely and accurate closure of corporate books of accounts.

  7. Manage accrual-based accounting for marketing spends and corporate overheads.

  8. Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes are completed within defined timelines.

  9. Plant Controls & Coordination

  10. Oversee plant-level financial controls in coordination with cluster factory controllers.

  11. Provide guidance and ensure consistency in application of financial policies across plants.

  12. Audit & Ind AS Compliance

  13. Ensure compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS).

  14. Lead quarterly and yearly closure of statutory audits in collaboration with the statutory audit team.
  15. Address audit queries, ensure timely completion, and support risk management initiatives.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Chartered Accountant with 10–12 years of post-qualification experience in corporate finance, controllership, or audit.
  • Strong expertise in corporate controls, financial reporting, and accounting standards (Ind AS).
  • Experience in working with SAP and exposure to authorization, AUC, and process controls.
  • Proven ability to manage period closure, audit compliance, and financial governance.
  • Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills to work across corporate and plant functions.
  • High integrity, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
