About the Role
The Sr Human Resource Business Partner provides HR support to our rapidly growing organization and HR team. You will be responsible for working with the Employee Experience Team, Legal Team, Compensation and Benefits and various business leaders within Uber Freight, contributing to the support of building our talent pipeline.
You will report directly to the Director of Employee Experience. The role is based in India and will support parts of the business in India, the US and Canada.
What the Candidate Will Do
- Provide consultation to employees, managers, and the Employee Experience Team on performance improvement, dispute resolution, leave administration, and disciplinary issues
- Resolve requests concerning issues such as employee relations, benefits, and accommodations while maintaining a clear line of communication with the employee or business leaders
- Monitor and respond to the employee compliance hotline and conduct internal investigations into incidences through interviews and documentation for legal review
- Ensures we are operating within country compliance for all employment, payroll and benefits practices
- Administer payroll through a third-party platform
- Identify potential liabilities and develop solutions
- Assist other People leaders and the Employee Experience Team where necessary in administering People policies, processes, and programs
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field, or work related experience
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in HR in a client facing/consulting role.
- Working knowledge of employee relations, payroll, performance management, talent development and compensation.

- Ability to maintain discretion and communicate in a professional manner
- Comprehensive knowledge of labor laws
- Strong audience-focused written and verbal communication skills

- Basic skills in Excel and proficiency in all other Microsoft Office products
