Job Title: SAP ABAP CDS View Developer (SAP S/4HANA & SAC)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled SAP ABAP CDS View Developer with specialized expertise in SAP S/4HANA embedded analytics and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) integration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing highly complex data models using ABAP Core Data Services (CDS) views to serve as the foundational data source for Fiori applications, native S/4HANA reporting, and advanced analytics in SAP SAC.

Key Responsibilities

  • SAP S/4HANA Development:

  • Design, develop, and optimize ABAP CDS Views (Basic, Composite, Consumption) to create real-time, high-performance data models for operational reporting and analytical applications within the S/4HANA environment.

  • Utilize advanced CDS features, including annotations true), associations, and various joins, to ensure data integrity and query efficiency.

  • Develop and maintain new and existing custom ABAP reports, interfaces, and enhancements as required.

  • SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Integration:

  • Serve as the technical expert for connecting SAC to S/4HANA using live data connections (S/4HANA Embedded Analytics, OData).

  • Validate and troubleshoot CDS views to ensure they are properly consumed by SAC stories and analytic applications.

  • Collaborate with SAC developers to ensure data structures and performance meet visualization and reporting requirements.

  • Performance and Optimization:

  • Profile, analyze, and optimize the performance of complex CDS views and associated queries to minimize execution time and resource consumption.

  • Implement best practices for code pushdown and delegated processes to fully leverage the power of the HANA database.

  • Collaboration and Documentation:

  • Work closely with functional consultants, business analysts, and end-users to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

  • Create detailed technical design documents, test plans, and solution documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development, with at least 2+ years focused on SAP S/4HANA development.
  • Mandatory: Expert-level proficiency in ABAP Core Data Services (CDS) View development, including strong knowledge of various annotations, view types, and performance tuning techniques.
  • Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA data models across key functional areas (e.g., Finance, Supply Chain, Production/PP, Logistics/MM/SD).
  • Demonstrated experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), specifically connecting and consuming live data from S/4HANA via CDS views.
  • Experience with SQL Script is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work 5 PM IST to 1 AM IST (evening/night shift in order to align with customers business hours)
