Position Summary:

Advancion is seeking a highly skilled SAP ABAP Expert with deep, hands-on experience in SAP ECC, S/4HANA, and SAP BW environments. This role is critical to delivering high-quality technical solutions across multiple SAP landscapes, including development, performance optimization, and integration support.

The ideal candidate will possess advanced proficiency in custom development, enhancements, performance tuning, and troubleshooting, while collaborating closely with functional and Basis teams to ensure seamless system performance and solution delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

ABAP Development & Support

• Design, develop, test, and implement custom ABAP solutions in ECC, S/4HANA, and BW systems.
• Build and maintain reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEFW) objects.
• Support the full development lifecycle including analysis, coding, testing, documentation, and transport management.
• Collaborate with functional teams across SD, MM, QM, PP, and FI/CO to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Provide technical impact analysis and support during system upgrades, enhancement packs, and migrations.
• Resolve ABAP-related incidents, break/fix issues, and performance bottlenecks across systems.

SAP BW Integration

• Develop and optimize ABAP routines, transformations, and extractors within SAP BW.
• Work closely with BW architects to support data extraction from ECC/S4, ensuring efficient and accurate data loads.
• Maintain and troubleshoot custom extractors, BADI implementations, and InfoProvider routines.
• Optimize performance of data transfer processes (DTPs) and extraction logic.
• Collaborate with analytics and reporting teams to ensure smooth integration between BW and operational systems.

S/4HANA & Advanced Development

• Develop solutions leveraging ABAP on HANA, Core Data Services (CDS) views, and AMDP procedures.
• Support S/4HANA migration projects, including code remediation and adaptation for HANA compatibility.
• Build Fiori-related back-end logic (OData services, annotations, and APIs).
• Work within modern SAP development tools such as ADT (ABAP Development Tools for Eclipse).

Collaboration & Quality Assurance

• Partner with Basis and security teams to ensure stable and secure system operations.
• Conduct peer reviews, code optimization, and adherence to SAP development standards.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, ensuring traceability and long-term system maintainability.
• Support regression testing and release management cycles.

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of hands-on ABAP development experience in SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments.
• Proven expertise in ABAP Objects, Enhancements Framework, BAPIs, BADIs, SmartForms, and Adobe Forms.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP BW extractors, data sources, and ABAP routines.
• Experience with Core Data Services (CDS), AMDP, and OData for S/4HANA.
• Solid understanding of SAP performance tuning, debugging, and tracing techniques.
• Experience collaborating in global delivery environments with functional and technical teams.
• Familiarity with transport management, Git-based development, and Solution Manager / ChaRM.

Preferred Skills:

• Exposure to SAP Fiori / UI5 integration.
• Understanding of SAP BW/4HANA and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) data models.
• Experience with Azure-hosted SAP environments.
• SAP Certification in ABAP for S/4HANA or BW/4HANA Development preferred.

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Advanced certifications or equivalent experience highly valued.
