DWDM Engineer with hands-on experience in greenfield & inservice deployments. You'll troubleshoot, test, and support Ciena DWDM/CWDM systemslike OME6500, WaveServer, and 6500 Reconfigurable Line System (OLS)—through channel adds, node insertions, traffic migrations, and HW/SW upgrades using tools such as OSA, SDH Analyzer, and Ethernet testers. Strong documentation and MOP creation skills are essential.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with project managers, system engineers, FSE, and deployment teams to deliver optical solutions.
  • Lead turn-up, commissioning, and testing of submarine and terrestrial DWDM networks (dark fiber and inservice).
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues onsite and through remote escalation, ensuring stable network uptime.
  • Execute complex upgrades and deployments—channel adds, node insertions, migration, spectrum management, Flexgrid ROADM.
  • Oversee MOP execution and validation; lead Acceptance Test Plans and confirm results before customer delivery.
  • Provide project status updates and drive continuous improvement in deployment processes.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's , Computer, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.
  • 2–5 years of project engineering experience in DWDM systems and fiber-optic networks.
  • Proven track record with engineering or deployment from a vendor or operator standpoint.
