Role Overview

We are hiring a seasoned Import/Export Executive to own end-to-end export and import documentation, banking coordination, and statutory compliance. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience closing shipments and bank cases independently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and verify all export documents: Commercial Invoice, Packing List, BL/AWB, COO, Inspection Certificate, Shipping Bill, ARE-1/Export LUT documentation (as applicable).
  • Handle import documentation & clearance: BOE, packing lists, duty calculations, coordination with CHA and freight forwarders till gate-out.
  • Banking & compliance: Prepare and submit documents for negotiation/collection, track BRC issuance, manage EDPMS/IDPMS closures, liaise with AD Bank for regularisation and RBI/FEMA requirements.
  • Create and file shipping bills (including drawback/RODTEP where applicable) and ensure on-time post-export benefits.
  • Manage foreign remittances and receipts, reconcile payment terms (TT/LC), and follow up for swift closures.
  • Coordinate with DGFT/ICEGATE/Customs stakeholders; assist in sale/transfer of licences (e.g., duty credit scrips) as per policy.
  • Maintain shipment trackers, exception logs, and MIS; ensure zero-document discrepancy.
  • Vendor and stakeholder coordination: buyers, forwarders, CHA, insurers, inspection agencies, and internal teams (production, accounts).

Must-Have Skills

  • Strong, recent experience in:

  • Export/Import documentation & operations (minimum 8 years)

  • BRC, EDPMS/IDPMS closure and regularisation
  • Shipping Bills, BL/AWB, COO, bank documents, and post-export benefits

  • Customs/DGFT/FEMA/RBI compliance and portal usage (ICEGATE, DGFT)

  • Proficiency in MS Excel and any ERP (ERPNext/Zoho/SAP/Tally or similar).

  • Excellent coordination, accuracy, and deadline discipline.

Good to Have

  • Footwear/leather manufacturing exposure.

Education

  • Graduate in Commerce/International Business/Logistics or related field. Advanced certifications in EXIM preferred.
