Role Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Engineer (MEP) to handle end-to-end procurement activities for MEP packages in EPC civil building projects. The role will be based at the Chennai corporate office and will support multiple ongoing and upcoming projects.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Manage procurement of MEP materials and services including Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Firefighting, and ELV systems.
  • Prepare RFQs/RFIs, analyze techno-commercial bids, and finalize vendors/subcontractors.
  • Coordinate with design, planning, QA/QC, and project teams for BOQs, specifications, and material requirements.
  • Conduct rate analysis, negotiations, and finalize commercial terms.
  • Issue Purchase Orders and ensure timely delivery as per project schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with approved makes, technical specifications, and quality standards.
  • Track material status, delivery schedules, and resolve supply-chain issues.
  • Coordinate with finance for billing, payments, and cost control.
  • Maintain procurement documentation, MIS reports, and vendor performance records.
  • Support audits and ensure adherence to company procurement procedures.

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline.
  • 5–10 years of experience in MEP procurement within EPC civil building construction.
  • Strong knowledge of MEP systems, vendors, and market pricing.
  • Experience in corporate-office-based procurement supporting site teams.
  • Good negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, ERP systems, and procurement documentation.
  • Tamil language proficiency preferred.
