Job Description – Estimation & Procurement Engineer (Relocation to Cochin, Kerala)

Location: Cochin, Kerala, India

Experience: 2–4 years (solid, hands-on experience required)

Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical (preferred)

Skills Required: Strong MS Excel skills, excellent time management, costing, and coordination abilities

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Estimation & Procurement Engineer to join our team in Cochin, Kerala, India. This role is crucial in managing the full project lifecycle — from handling client enquiries to estimating costs, preparing competitive quotes, and overseeing procurement after order confirmation.

Key Responsibilities

Enquiry & Costing Management

  • Receive and review client enquiries to understand technical and commercial needs
  • Analyze requirements, estimate accurate costs, and determine competitive pricing strategies
  • Clarify technical and commercial queries directly with clients, if required

Supplier Coordination & Quote Preparation

  • Source, negotiate, and obtain supplier quotations aligned with client requirements
  • Perform cost analysis and finalize the most competitive pricing
  • Prepare, review, and submit detailed and competitive client quotes in a timely manner

Purchase Order & Procurement Management

  • Review customer POs, ensuring they match the approved quotations
  • Issue POs to suppliers, track orders, and ensure timely delivery
  • Coordinate with suppliers on necessary documentation (invoices, HS codes, Certificates of Origin)

Logistics & Delivery Coordination

  • Collaborate with the operations team to manage smooth, on-time deliveries
  • Quickly resolve procurement or supply chain issues to maintain customer satisfaction

Key Requirements

2–4 years of solid work experience in estimation, costing, procurement, or related functions

Strong MS Excel skills for pricing, cost estimation, and data handling

Excellent time management to handle multiple projects and deadlines efficiently

Strong communication and negotiation skills with both suppliers and clients

Prior experience in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering industries is a plus
