Procurement Manager – Space Palette (Chennai, On-Site)

As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to drive efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality in our sourcing processes.

Primary Role

The Procurement Manager will oversee the procurement of materials, finishes, furnishings, services, and vendor contracts required for architectural and interior design projects. The role ensures that all resources are sourced at optimal cost, delivered on time, and aligned with Space Palette's quality and design standards.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Planning


• Develop procurement plans aligned with project schedules and budgets


• Collaborate with architects and project teams to define requirements


• Coordinate deliverables in sync with project milestones

Vendor and Supplier Management


• Identify, evaluate, and onboard qualified suppliers and contractors


• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery commitments to ensure best value


• Maintain strategic vendor relationships and monitor performance

Cost Control and Budget Management


• Manage and track procurement budgets across projects


• Conduct market research to support cost-effective decision-making


• Provide cost comparisons and support value engineering initiatives

Quality Assurance


• Ensure procured items meet design specifications and industry standards


• Oversee sample approvals with design teams and clients


• Manage replacements or corrective actions for defective products

Logistics and Delivery Coordination


• Plan and supervise timely material deliveries to sites or warehouses


• Work closely with project managers to avoid schedule delays


• Monitor inventory levels and plan reorders as needed

Contract and Documentation Management


• Draft and review procurement-related documents including POs and contracts


• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards


• Maintain organized procurement records, invoices, and warranties

Cross-Functional Collaboration


• Work with design, finance, and site teams for smooth execution


• Provide accurate procurement updates to management


• Participate in project meetings to align sourcing strategies

Risk Management


• Identify potential risks involving pricing, delivery, and supply chain disruptions


• Develop contingency plans and maintain alternate vendor options

Qualifications


• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related discipline


• Minimum of 10+ years of professional experience in procurement


• Strong expertise in supplier evaluation, negotiation, and contract management


• Exceptional analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills


• Experience within the architecture, interior design, or construction industry is preferred


• Proven track record in managing procurement for large-scale, high-quality projects
