Purpose of the role

The Digital and Technology team of General Mills India Centre is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic individual to contribute to the Global Digital Transformation initiative at General Mills in capacity of a Senior Process Automation Engineer. This role will report into the Manager of the General Mills Process Automation Talent Acceleration Center (TAC) and functionally collaborate with our Global Process Automation Team. In this technical role, the Senior Process Automation Engineer will help drive the success of digital transformation and automation efforts at General Mills, by leading, designing, and delivering innovative solutions leveraging multiple process automation technologies such as Automation Anywhere A360 RPA, ServiceNow App-Engine Low Code/Workflow, and Winshuttle for SAP.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

An associate in an Intelligent Automation team, focusing on building automation solutions using Automation Anywhere A360 and integrating AI with Machine Learning and Agentic AI capabilities, would typically have the following key accountabilities, incorporating the responsibilities you've outlined:

1. RPA Solution Design and Development (Automation Anywhere A360):

o Design, develop, and implement robust Unattended and Attended Bot automation and orchestration solutions leveraging the Automation Anywhere A360 Framework.

o Automate repetitive and rule-based processes efficiently using UI Actions, Data Scraping, and other A360 capabilities.

o Ensure developed bots adhere to best practices, security standards, and performance requirements.

1. System Integration:

o Create and manage complex bot integrations with various enterprise systems and platforms, including GCP, SAP, Citrix, Excel, Exchange, SharePoint, Evolve, and REST APIs.

o Ensure seamless and secure data exchange and process orchestration across integrated systems.

1. AI Integration (Machine Learning & Agentic AI):

o Identify opportunities and implement strategies to embed Machine Learning models and Agentic AI capabilities within RPA workflows to enhance automation intelligence, decision-making, and predictive analytics.

o Collaborate with AI/ML specialists to integrate AI components, ensuring they augment and optimize automated processes.

o Building complex customer agentic ai systems

o Use AI ecosystem and intelligent automation architecture to own end to end Intelligent Automation capabilities

1. Technical Leadership and Complex Issue Resolution:

o Serve as the main point of contact for the team to address and resolve complex technical issues, preventing business interruptions and ensuring operational continuity.

o Provide expert guidance and troubleshooting for automation solutions.

1. Project Delivery and Stakeholder Coordination:

o Manage project documentation and oversee the complete delivery processes for global automation solutions.

o Coordinate effectively with stakeholders across various technologies and business functions to ensure successful project execution and alignment with business objectives.

1. Platform Management and Governance:

o Manage the automation platforms, infrastructure, security, and modernization efforts, specifically for Automation Anywhere A360 and related components.

o Establish and enforce standards and processes for the Talent Acceleration Center, ensuring consistency and quality in automation development and deployment.

1. Team Development and Mentorship:

o Lead recruitment and training initiatives for the automation team, fostering skill development and knowledge transfer.

o Provide coaching, mentorship, and constructive feedback, reviewing the work of colleagues to ensure high-quality deliverables and continuous improvement.

1. Vendor and Partner Management:

o Act as the primary point of contact for external vendors and platform partners, managing relationships and ensuring effective collaboration and support.

1. Research, Innovation, and Strategic Influence:

o Dedicate time to researching the latest automation technology stack, including advancements in RPA, Machine Learning, and Agentic AI.

o Influence technology and business stakeholders to adopt relevant and innovative automation solutions that drive efficiency and strategic value.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
• Expert in Automation Anywhere A360 Framework.
• Bot user interface, automations recorders, logging, alerting, reporting, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• A360 Control Room management - Users, Roles, Devices. Bots scheduling, deployment, and server logs.
• Meta bots and Reusable logic components.
• Bot integrations with GCP, SAP, Citrix, Excel, Exchange, SharePoint, Evolve and REST APIs.
• Dot Net, JavaScript, JSON, XML, VBScript, Python, MS SQL Server, and Macros.
• System architecture, data, version control and security.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Understanding of: -

• Other A360 modules like AI Agent Studio, Automation Co-Pilot, Automator AI, Document Automation, Process Discovery.
• OCR - Optical Character Recognition, Intelligent Document Extraction, A360 Document Automation, and Google Vertex AI
• Agentic AI, Gen AI, Python AI Libraries.
• Cloud technologies like GCP/Azure/AWS.
• DevOps and ML Ops.
