Role Overview

The Store Manager will be responsible for managing the entire warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods. The role requires maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring the security of stock, and managing a team of warehouse staff. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and experience in inventory management within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management:

  • Oversee inventory levels to ensure products are adequately stocked as per agreed optimum levels.
  • Implement inventory control measures to prevent stockouts and overstock situations, and promptly communicate any shortages to vendors.
  • Ensure System inventory and physical inventory are same with no variance.

Store Operations:

  • Maintain feeding details in advance to ensure timely and proper feeding, helping to meet production targets and achieve month-wise closure of new job cards.
  • Implement FIFO in the store to manage inventory and track all goods inwards and outwards through the ERP system.
  • Develop and manage the store budget by tracking expenses and revenue, while implementing cost-control measures to optimize profitability.
  • Scrap Management- Maintain and segregate useable from scrap and work with finance team and purchase team for disposal of scrap.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Conduct random stock inspections weekly and perform internal inventory audits monthly.
  • Analyze the resulting data to identify areas for improvement and make informed decisions to optimize inventory management.

Team Management:

  • Maintain clear daily communication with your team, emphasizing the importance of the FIFO process and proper inventory management techniques.
  • Regularly update and refresh training programs to ensure consistent implementation.
  • Lead and manage the warehouse staff, overseeing hiring, training, and performance management while ensuring adherence to safety procedures and company policies.
