Lead - Warehousing & Logistics

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:

Responsible for overall control and governance of warehouse operations, ensuring the smooth running of Finished Goods and RM/PM warehouse operations. To be accountable for the general upkeep and security of stock, warehousing, and logistics in the Manufacturing facility.

Role & responsibilities

• Responsible for handling of end-to-end Raw Material stores function (Receive, unload, safe storage, and distribution of materials).
• Inventory control including defining inventory norms and FSN Analysis.
• Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies; report those to accounting for reimbursements and record keeping.
• Manage and direct the daily activities of workers, loaders, and forklift drivers.
• Managing Job Work activities and its reconciliation.
• Monitor and take inventory count on regular basis.
• Maintain and control warehouse inventory to keep shrink at acceptable level
• Arranging good housekeeping every day in warehouse- 5s activities
• Works with purchasing department to schedule delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment.
• Verify if all goods have arrived as per the agreed purchase orders, delivery note and Invoices.
• Ensure timely disposal of Vendor Rejections and Scraps.
• Adherence to all SOPs.
• Supervise, evaluate, and coach subordinates.
• Ensure system data is kept in sync with physical activity across multiple inventory categories.
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Preferred candidate profile

Qualification: B. Com/BBA/M. Com/MBA in Logistics & Material Management

Skills & Experience:

• 7+ years experience in a Lead/Managerial role. Preferably from Electrical/ Electronic Goods Manufacturing sector.
• Should have working knowledge of SAP-MM. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent understanding of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Excellent analytical, problem solving, self-management, and organizational skills
• Ability to lead and motivate a team as well as working as part of that team and adopting a hands on approach wherever needed. Proactive, conscientious, and self-motivated.
