The HICT Technical Systems Project Coordinator for Business Continuity is responsible for supporting and implementing the Downtime Business Continuity Program (BCP) across HMC healthcare facilities, ensuring clinical operations can continue during IT system outages and disruptions. This role focuses on coordinating downtime readiness activities, supporting facility downtime coordinators, participating in downtime drills and actual incidents, managing downtime tool implementations, and maintaining business continuity plans for critical healthcare IT systems including Clinical Information Systems (CIS), Electronic Medical Records (EMR), and other mission-critical applications. The specialist works closely with clinical staff to understand workflows, provides technical support for downtime configurations, conducts training and drills, performs readiness audits, and ensures compliance with business continuity management standards to minimize patient care disruption during system downtimes and disaster recovery scenarios.

1.     
Support and Implement Downtime BCP:
Lead the implementation of the Downtime Business Continuity Program (BCP) across all HMC hospitals, including developing downtime policies, procedures, and response plans for CIS, EMR, and critical applications.

Coordinate Facility Downtime Readiness:
Provide coordination and support to Facility Downtime Coordinators, facilitate preparedness tasks, organize training, drills, and readiness audits, and ensure consistent downtime preparedness across all facilities.

3.     
Participate in Drills and Incidents:
Actively participate in downtime drills, tabletop exercises, and real incidents, support clinical staff with workflows, document activities, and conduct post-incident reviews to identify improvements.

4.     
Manage Downtime Tools:
Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of downtime workstations, printers, paper forms, emergency access systems, and downtime applications, ensuring readiness and alignment with clinical workflows.

Any one of the below certifications:

  1. Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP)
  2. Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP)
  3. Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)

ISO 22301 Certification Auditor

Education

Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, MIS or a related field

Experience

7 years of hands-on experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, and IT operations in healthcare settings, with strong knowledge of clinical systems including downtime planning, incident response, and leading business continuity drills and training sessions.

Candidate must be available for a Face to Face interview at Bangalore
