Engineering Lead

As an Engineering Lead, you will design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

To be a successful Engineering Lead, you should have experience with:

• Drive Engineering Excellence feature teams through Code Quality, Test excellence, Shift Left of testing, Dx Insight improvement, Provide proactive solutions on blockers for projects and work with Delivery lead and TDM. End to end ownership of technical implementation.
• Collaborate with PO, BA and Solution Architect for deliverables. Collaborate with Delivery Lead for any adhoc items on priority. Take responsibility for production incidents related to team deliverables. Contribute towards engineering activity on CAPL wide and increase productivity and efficiency of team.
• Responsible for code commits on project along with team. Understand the platform standards and principles making sure deliveries are aligns. LM responsibility of team, Coach and mentor team, Collaborate with Principal Engineer and Principal Test engineer for best practices and implement in the projects.
• Identify and eliminate productivity bottlenecks in the development lifecycle. Establish clear accountability frameworks for all engineering deliverables for the team. Represent the team in technical discussions with senior leadership
• Identify opportunities to move towards Strategic Design Patterns like Fat to DAF, MCA 1 to MCA 2 and drive feature roadmap in that direction. Identify Tech Debt, PRBs, INCs, Veracode, SONAR vulnerabilities in their respective areas and come up with a plan to resolve them.

Additional relevant skills given below are highly valued:

• Sound technical skills on Core Java, Backend Development, Microservices, Spring framework, rest API.
• React JS, Node JS, and Angular JS- Knowledge on any one of the UI front-end. Messaging services like Kafka is also desired.

• Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
• Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
• Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization's technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
• Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
• Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
