Job description:

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Automation Engineer to lead automation and control system initiatives within our plant engineering team.

The candidate will have hands-on expertise in PLC, HMI, SCADA, DAS, industrial networking, and I/O systems, with strong proficiency in platforms such as Siemens, Schneider Electric, Rockwell Automation, Mitsubishi, and other leading automation technologies.

Support in conceptual designing and estimation of automation control and instrumentation systems for plant engineering.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Worked closely with EPCM in projects environment (Green field & Brown Field projects).
  • Design, program, and maintain automation systems using PLCs, HMIs and SCADA platforms from Siemens, Schneider, Rockwell, Mitsubishi and others.
  • Effort hour estimation of automation control discipline.
  • Configure and troubleshoot industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, Profinet etc.).
  • Develop and manage I/O configurations and ensure reliable communication between field devices and control systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver automation solutions aligned with plant operations and safety standards.
  • Conduct FAT/SAT, system testing, validation, and commissioning of automation projects.
  • Expertise in configuring and troubleshooting industrial networks.
  • knowledge of I/O systems, sensors, actuators, and instrumentation
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and support to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Maintain detailed documentation including network system architecture, wiring diagrams and programming logic.
  • Drive continuous improvement and root cause analysis for automation-related issues.
  • Create & Review proposal (RFQ).
  • Knowledge of Hazardous area applications.
  • ISA Standards (ANSI/ISA), ISA-95, IEC 61131,
  • Electrical Instrumentation combined profile would be a plus.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or masters degree in Electronics Engineering or Electrical, Automation Engineering.
  • 6 to 10 years of experience in industrial automation and plant engineering

Software:

PLC programming software: Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000, Schneider, Mitsubishi GX Works, etc

HMI and SCADA development: WinCC, FactoryTalk View, Wonderware
