- Excellent command over Java, HTML 5, XML
- Experience with Unreal Engine 4 in AAA game production
- Robust programming skills on varied platforms
- You possess a deep and comprehensive knowledge of the games industry and game design (learning curve, directing the player, difficulty levels, balancing, pacing, motivation & reward cycle, accessibility)
- Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus
- You ideally have exposure to Lean/Agile methodologies
- You have strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of user-centered design (UCD)

Amazon's Customer Service Instructional Design team is looking for an exceptional game designer/developer with superb critical thinking skills, excellent judgment, up-to-date designing skills and knowledge of gaming tools and platforms. You’ll share your knowledge while working within a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary team of designers, artists, and programmers while continue to develop your skill set. - Work closely with the Design Lead and leaders to design, implement, and own game systems, features, and content. - Generate documentation to clearly communicate gaming ideas/goals. - Prototype, implement and balance system variables to create an entertaining gameplay experience for a diverse array of play styles. - Work with cross-teams on the scheduling and integration of systems designs, along with feature development goals and execution. - Develop data-gathering methods for game balancing and tuning through focus testing, then implement changes based on the data. - Work closely with cross-teams to ensure quality throughout the product lifecycle. - Design, learn, and optimize new tools and workflows with mínimal supervision.
