Chief Financial Officer

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy, Planning & Forecasting:

- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Provide financial forecasting and budgeting insights to support corporate decision-making.
- Conduct cost-benefit analysis and financial modeling to support long-term strategic goals.
- Identify financial risks and recommend corrective actions.

Financial Management & Reporting:

- Manage the preparation and presentation of financial statements as per Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS).
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting to the CEO and Board of Directors.
- Develop financial models and prepare reports on profitability, revenue trends, and financial performance.
- Drive efficiency and process improvement in financial operations.

Auditing & Compliance:

- Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with financial policies and statutory requirements.
- Work closely with auditors to ensure transparent and accurate financial records.
- Implement recommendations from audit findings to strengthen financial controls.
- Ensure adherence to corporate governance policies and industry best practices.

Taxation & Regulatory Compliance:

- Oversee direct and indirect taxation, including GST, corporate tax, transfer pricing, and international tax regulations.
- Ensure tax planning and compliance to maximize tax efficiency while minimizing risks.
- Liaise with tax authorities and ensure timely filing of tax returns and statutory reports.

Risk Management & Internal Controls:

- Identify and mitigate financial risks, including operational, market, credit, and compliance risks.
- Develop and enforce internal financial controls to safeguard company assets.
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, and investment strategies to optimize working capital.

Operational & Cost Management:

- Improve cost management strategies across departments.
- Oversee financial processes for procurement, pricing strategies, and vendor negotiations.
- Monitor financial transactions to ensure accuracy and cost-efficiency.

Leadership & Team Management:

- Lead and mentor the finance, accounting, and taxation teams.
- Develop financial talent within the organization, providing training and growth opportunities.
- Foster a culture of financial discipline and accountability within the company.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Chartered Accountant (CA), or MBA (Finance) preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in financial management, taxation, and compliance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations, corporate finance, and tax laws.
- Experience in forecasting, financial modeling, risk management, and strategic planning.
- Hands-on experience with auditing, compliance, and regulatory reporting.
- Expertise in ERP systems, financial software, and business intelligence tools.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in life sciences, pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, or manufacturing industries is a plus.
