**Title**:DGM-Operational Excellence**:

- Date: Oct 25, 2024- Location: Sun House - Corporate Office- Company: Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd**Role : Sr. Manager / DGM Operational Excellence**

**Location : Mumbai / Baroda (should be flexible for any of these locations)**

**Responsibilities**:

- Identify opportunities to use engineering knowledge and computational tools to help solve pharmaceutical project challenges at manufacturing site during the product life cycle
- Implement Process Analytical Tools across unit operations/ sites
- Work with internal stakeholders and external partners to take manufacturing plants to Smart Factory 4.0
- Review and enhance processing techniques and methods applied in manufacturing to improve efficiency and reduce wastage and minimize manual intervention. Experience in automation and digitalization.
- Develop and sustain new processes, pilot it in 1-2 sites, and then build best practices for implementation at all sites
- Compile and analyze test data around pharmaceutical unit operations to establish next steps of improvement and determination of applicable limits/ models
- Design, implement and validate ML models for selected products/ unit operations in collaboration with development scientists and QA/ Regulatory
- Conduct process engineering research
- Work with external partners and vendors to execute and deliver well defined modelling projects
- Must demonstrate good problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills: must be able to communicate ideas and results with colleagues with diverse background experience and knowledge base

**Educational Background & Skills**:

- B Tech in Mechanical/ Chemical/ Process Control Engineering or related discipline with 15 to 18 Years work experience.
- Proficient in programming using some standard platforms like Python, R, matlab, etc
- Knowledge of data analysis and visualization packages (Like Tableau/ Spotfire)
- Strong data science, statistical & mathematical skills
- Proficient in fundamental engineering and physical concepts of mass, heat, momentum and energy transport phenomenon with ability to set up and solve linear/ non-linear/ differential equations
- Additional exposure/ training/ certifications on opex related topics and Six sigma lean management
- Should be well versed with current GMP practices and quality systems in pharma industry
- Familiarity with tools for optimization (like DoE/ Minitab/JMP)
