Placement Officer

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Placement Coordination and Target Achievement**:

- Ensure placement of PGDM/MBA students with a minimum salary package of ₹6,00,000 per annum.
- Collaborate with leading corporates across major cities in India for student placement.
- Develop placement strategies to align with industry demands and student career goals.

2. **Corporate Relations and Networking**:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with top recruiters across sectors such as Marketing, Finance, HR, Operations, Business Analytics, FinTech, Supply Chain Management, and Digital Marketing.
- Organize regular corporate interactions, guest lectures, and company visits to strengthen ties with industry leaders.

3. **Industry Interface Development**:

- Conduct industry surveys and maintain updated information about market trends and skill requirements.
- Act as a liaison between the academic institution and corporate organizations to ensure mutual benefits.

4. **Training and Development Support**:

- Collaborate with faculty to design industry-relevant training modules for students, including resume-building, interview preparation, and soft skills enhancement.
- Arrange pre-placement talks, mock interviews, and mentorship sessions for students.

5. **Specialization-Specific Placement Goals**:

- Understand the unique requirements and opportunities of the 8 PGDM specializations offered by Firebird Institute:

- **Marketing**:

- **Finance**:

- **Human Resources**:

- **Operations Management**:

- **Business Analytics**:

- **FinTech**:

- **Supply Chain Management**:

- **Digital Marketing**
- Map students' competencies to job profiles in alignment with these specializations.

6. **Placement Calendar Management**:

- Develop and manage the annual placement calendar to ensure timely recruitments.
- Oversee end-to-end placement activities, including pre-placement talks, interviews, and offer rollouts.

7. **Internship and Summer Project Coordination**:

- Coordinate and secure internships for students with reputed companies in Coimbatore and other cities.
- Ensure internships align with specialization goals and NBA accreditation standards.

8. **Database and Reporting**:

- Maintain a robust database of corporate contacts, placement statistics, and alumni placement details.
- Provide regular reports to the management regarding placement progress and student outcomes.

**Qualifications and Skills Required**

1. **Educational Qualifications**:

- MBA/PGDM or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Management, HR, or a related field.

2. **Professional Experience**:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate relations, placement coordination, or business development roles.
- Proven track record of placing students in reputed companies with competitive salary packages.

3. **Skills and Competencies**:

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong corporate connections across major cities in India.
- Deep understanding of market trends and industry requirements across sectors.
