**Job Purpose**

The job holders’ responsibility:
Leading WPB’s effort to leverage upon its insurance manufacturing capability to strategically grow WPB’s insurance business, exponentially in India.
- The Job Holder shall be response le to ideate, plan and implement key strategic growth initiatives for WPBs insurance business in India. Leverage WPBs insurance manufacturing capability (CHOICe) to introduce strategic business drivers that enhance the capability of WPB Distribution to maximize the customer value and revenues growth opportunities in a consistent manner.
- Engage closely with WPB leadership team, INM strategy team, Regional & Group Wealth (Insurance) strategy teams, as well as external vendors to build a cohesive sense of the ongoing “India Opportunity”, identify critical areas of competitive advantage and evaluate and introduce strategies which enable WPB to achieve its strategic goals.

The jobholder will oversee relevant activities such as implementation of key business initiatives and data analytics to make proposal and recommendations to enhance the value proposition and service model to deliver the business objective. He/She shall also be responsible for ensuring the expected degree of Customer Experience and deploy, own, monitor and take remedial action where required.

**Principal Accountabilities**

**Impact on the Business/Function**
- Evaluate setting up of independent, direct to customer sourcing channel(s) to create a sustainable, value creating business unit, which enables sourcing of new to Bank insurance sales on a broad wealth management proposition.
- Identifying new investment products and ideas for inclusion in our product suite. Tracking, conceptualizing and driving strategies around the key pillars that support the wealth business such as sales achievement, penetration, market share etc
- Stakeholder management is a key to the role requirement both global as well as local. Strict adherence with Group strategy/policies, managing approvals/changes & maintain investments operational control
- Liaise closely with product provider to manage specific distribution relationships from business development perspective including sales support for, product training, commercial negotiations and customer events
- Optimize operational risk mitigation vs. possible loss, ensuring compliance with all Group standards, manuals and regulatory environment guidelines
- To be open, connected, and dependable and act with courageous integrity at all times. Full compliance with internal policies, procedures and compliance requirements

**Customers / Stakeholders**
- Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets.
- Act as communicating link between WPB and all other non WPB Stakeholders.
- Coordinate WPB resources such as branches and RMs to support the overall customer experience process.
- Understand current economic trends and their impact on customers and identify key levers to capitalize on opportunities or minimize downside exposure.
- Increase awareness of the INM proposition amongst frontline staff to enable smooth handover between both parties.

**Leadership & Teamwork**
- Working with HBAP INM, WPB teams to develop/enhance products and services to address the need of C-Suite and EBS customers.
- Building strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders within local INM WPB, team, for example Sales and Distribution, Premier & Network, Performance and Growth and RBWM COO to ensure that local RBWM INM objectives are met and exceeded

**Operational Effectiveness & Control**:

- Playing as a ‘sounding board’ offering constructive feedback and comments on initiatives or ideas in the design/development of products and services.
- Facilitate & support senior management decision making by use of performance information, analytics, forums, stakeholder feedback and HSBC strategy.
- Coordinate performance management and investigating and remediating issues which may be affecting business performance.
- Coordinate and drive proposition enhancement campaigns by analyzing customer insight, macro economy and market data.
- Develop presentations requested by local market/INM business or functions and regional/ country stakeholders that provide proposition and campaign insights that will help facilitate strategic or tactical solutions for growth.
