We’re looking for detail-oriented, business-friendly legal counsels to join our Legal team at Whatfix, a fast-growing SaaS company. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end contract lifecycle, reviewing and drafting a variety of commercial agreements, and working closely with Sales, Procurement, and other cross-functional teams to ensure timely and compliant contract execution.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong interest in technology law, contract negotiation, and legal operations to contribute to a growing legal function in a dynamic, tech-driven environment.

**What will you get to do?**
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including NDAs, SaaS subscription agreements, vendor contracts, DPAs, and partner agreements.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Sales, Finance, Procurement, Security, etc.) to ensure alignment on contract terms and risk mitigation.
- Assist in managing the contract lifecycle using contract management tools (CLM), including contract tracking, template maintenance, and repository updates.
- Identify and escalate legal and business risks as appropriate, providing clear recommendations to internal stakeholders.
- Draft legal notices
- Support legal process improvements and documentation standardization initiatives.
- Help maintain and update the legal team’s contract templates, clause libraries, and negotiation playbooks.
- Monitor compliance with internal policies and contractual obligations post-signature, as needed.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations affecting SaaS contracts and commercial practices.

**What you should have?**
- LLB degree;
- 2-8 years of experience (hiring for multiple levels) in a legal, contracts, or commercial operations role—preferably at a tech or SaaS company.
- Strong understanding of contract structures and typical SaaS contract terms.
- Savvy with legal verbiage, interpretation skills, negotiation and drafting skills.
- Familiarity with data privacy and information security concepts (e.g., GDPR, SOC 2, DPAs) is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with mínimal supervision.
- Experience with CLM tools and basic legal tech platforms is desirable.
- Collaborative & proactive mindset.
- Highest level of proficiency in English.
- Flexibility to work and close matters within assigned timelines

Past work experience with a global organization is a plus.
- (1) you have prior contracting experience in IT, ITES, technology contracts, software licenses, SAAS or AI; and,_
- (2) if you are willing to support multiple regions globally, with flexibility to accommodate different time zones and work collaboratively with international teams as needed._
