We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Associate II to join our Global Account Opening, Global Onboarding Solutions team. This role is located in Chennai, TN - HYBRID.

**In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways**:

- Act as an SME in the Client Activation processes. Under moderate direction, onboards/offboards clients, closes accounts and handles transitions and conversions to the system. Analyzes, reconciles and reviews incoming or outgoing data for accurate transition to platform. Obtains and reviews the appropriate documentation and reference data, and perform end to end client static data related activities which would include:

- Functional knowledge: Client onboarding, Client data maintenance, Client offboarding, Sub Custody to Custody related process flows, Asset servicing knowledge is preferable.
- Handle setup of account(s) on systems to facilitate processing for securities, cash, reporting (Swift), interest conditions, Nostro network and facilitate BNY Mellon’s sub-custodial network to activate accounts in the specified markets of investment.
- Keep clients apprised of market changes and required remediations time to time.
- For all processes - client accounts in BNY systems, market accounts, investment manager - Manual enrichment / gathering of client information mastered in various sources to create request initiation form as a prerequisite to client static data set-up process.
- Process third party Investment Manager packages based on their advisors and set up necessary systemic coding including standing instructions and reporting.
- Handle transfer of client assets, ensuring client positions validations, code SSIs, process residual transfers and reconcile the client portfolio data and report to ensure conversion is complete.
- SME & Quality Check: Performs all the quality checks defined in the procedures to make sure avoid any risk events or misses. Makes sure all the controls documented are followed and highlight any control gaps identified to the senior management on priority.
- KPI/ KRI: Focus is on daily, short-term goal achievement. 5-7 years of total work experience Applicable local/regional licenses or certifications as required by the business.
- Process Improvement: Researches, develops and establishes methodologies, protocols and processes to facilitate or improve transition project management or the client offboarding/transition/conversion experience. Guides the team in activities that align to team, area and functional objectives. Supports in the the development and implement standard operating procedures. Co-ordinate with internal and external parties involved in the workflow to have a smooth and efficient process flow.
- Audit: Ensures that all activities meet required regulatory compliance standards. May participate in internal audits and Control reviews. Adheres to the corporate policies and procedures defined
- Escalation management: Resolves complex client issues. Develops and manages the achievement of functional objectives.
