**About the Organization**

Swaniti Initiative works with governments globally to enhance climate action and economic development through public service delivery and policy-oriented research.Swaniti’s interventions have included:(a) strengthening policy implementation by identifying gaps and limitations,
(b) providing research support to elected representatives, and
(c) developing data-technology tools to support decision-making in public policy.

Major work streams of Swaniti’s are climate and sustainability, social protection, and livelihood. Although Swaniti has extensive work programs in South Africa, it is growing globally into countries such as the United States and Brazil to become a global voice on climate change and sustainability issues.

**Responsibilities**:

- Doing descriptive and stat analysis of primary and secondary data collected by the research team.
- Support the team in data cleaning using STATA and MS Excel
- Data visualization for the report, blog post or website using Tableau, PowerBI, Data wrapper or any other visualization software
- Assist the research team in sample design or any other support required by the research team to conduct field study.
- Working on secondary data to provide insight on climate change and energy transition
- Knowledge of Phyton/R or any other coding software
- Provide statistical support to the team for PowerPoint presentations and report writing

**Qualifications Required**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in statistics, Mathematics, economics or relevant degree; 0-2 years of experience; Masters preferred
- Diploma in Data analytics preferred

**Skills and Attributes**
- ArcGIS or QGIS software skill desired
- Ability and keenness to work in evolving situations and handle short deadlines, if needed
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Coursework in Statistics is strongly preferred
- Experience with household and industry survey data
- Proficiency with STATA, MS-Excel, PowerBI and any scrapping tool
- Previous experience of cleaning survey data
- Eye for detail and a strong sense of numbers
- Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Preferred: familiarity with environmental, sustainability, energy, and/or climate change issues
- Data Analysis
