**Junior Project Fellows - Ornithology**

“Long Term Ecological Monitoring of Eastern Seascape of Mumbai and Formulating a Conservation

Blueprint for the Sewri-Nhava Seascape”.

Essential and Desirable qualifications are as follows:
1. Positions **Junior Project Fellow (3)** Ornithology

2 Emoluments Rs. 20,000 CTS, Health and accident insurance policy and basic

accommodation facility on sharing basis.

3. Duration Initially for one years (performance based). Those who will be

selected for Ph. D. will get 5-year tenure

4. Type of engagement Purely on contractual basis

5. Essential Qualification 1. Post Graduate Degree in Wildlife Science/Zoology/
Biodiversity and Conservation/ Environmental Science from

a recognized university.

2. A sound knowledge of wader identification and various bird
count methods.

6. Desirable Qualification 1. Experience/interest in intensive field work for bird count,
bird ringing, and bird behaviour studies.

2. Basic knowledge of MS-Excel, R, QGIS, ARCGIS.
3. Good writing and communication skills.

7. Task Description 1. Field data collection on bird communities, bird ringing,
monitoring of bird behaviours.

2. Data analysis in MS-Excel and R.
3. Report writing.

8. Age Limit Up to 28 years

Mumbai University after qualifying PET (Zoology) under this

project.
