
Accounts and Administration Officer

The Accounts and Admin role combines both financial and administrative responsibilities within an organization. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. The individual in this role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing administrative tasks, and providing support to various departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Functions:
Prepare and maintain financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
Process invoices, payments, and expense reports in a timely manner.
Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and financial reports.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
Administrative Tasks:
Handle general office administration duties, such as managing correspondence, answering phone calls, and scheduling appointments.
Maintain and update employee records, including attendance, leave, and personal information.
Coordinate travel arrangements, accommodations, and itineraries for staff members.
Manage office supplies, equipment, and inventory.
Data Management:
Organize and maintain financial and administrative data using appropriate software systems or tools.
Generate reports and provide accurate data analysis to support decision-making processes.
Ensure data integrity and confidentiality in all financial and administrative operations.
Communication and Coordination:
Act as a liaison between various departments, vendors, and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with team members to resolve any accounting or administrative issues.
Communicate effectively and professionally, both orally and in writing.
Compliance and Documentation:
Ensure compliance with relevant legal, regulatory, and company policies.
Assist with the preparation of audit documentation and support auditors during financial audits.
Maintain proper documentation and filing systems for financial and administrative records.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in accounting and administrative roles.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and best practices.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial and administrative tasks.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
