**What this job involves**:
**OVERALL JOB SUMMARY**:
The Engineer (Technical Facility Executive/Sr. Executive) is accountable for supporting the maintenance and monitoring of Facility operations and associated mission critical infrastructures at VMware account. Also responsible for monitoring and controlling the cooling, Energy and all the environmental sensors using Technology platforms to achieve best suitable environment for the employees inside the facility. The Facilities Executive ensures effective execution of processes and procedures for the uptime of the facilities, all contractor activities and maintains responsibility of projects and required maintenance best practices. He/she will be reporting to the Asst Facilities Manager.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Responsible for day-to-day operations and maintenance of all Engineering infrastructure.
Supporting the maintenance of electrical & mechanical infrastructure per manufacturers’ recommendation and corporate specifications.
Manage contractors and service providers to ensure maintenance, repairs and operations are to a high quality and to corporate and customer standard Support projects and administration of professional consultants and contractors providing building repair, and capital improvement services
Familiar with IOT tools, alerts & trends reading skills, data extraction, review and analysis of the data, appropriate quick actions on the alerts from the BMS/IOT tools.
Daily/Weekly/Monthly reports creation from the BMS/IOT tools and submit to the management in time.
Ability to adopt skills on the Technology platform and upgradation as per need and changes in the facility.
Maintain appropriate vendor relationships to perform the necessary building repair and maintenance.
Conduct inspections, surveys and develop recommendations and specifications to improve, repair or modify Electrical & Mechanical infrastructure and building systems toward the highest operational integrity and energy efficiency.
Understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), Emergency Operating Procedures (EOP’s) and Sequence of Operations and maintenance standards to be in compliance with Digital Realty’s standards and industry best practices
Support Asst Facilities Manager during their absence.
Work directly with the customer and/or support staff to identify and troubleshoot as necessary to isolate the root cause of problems.
Perform and execute necessary facilities rounds throughout MDF/Lab/IDF and utility rooms directed to ensure the efficiency of the site.
Support accurate and timely reporting on all aspects of the Facility operations including but not limited to Power Quality, Power Utilization Efficiency (PUE), Power Usage Reporting and Vendor Scorecard Reporting.
Actively promote a safe working environment and culture.
Enforce compliance with all OH&S procedures and requirements, including permit to work, risk assessments, safe work method statements, personal protective equipment.
Support site safety and hazard identification inspections.
Report all safety concerns, hazards, near misses and incidents.
Manage the on-site activities of vendors and contractors.

**QUALIFICATIONS**: To perform this job successfully, the qualified individual must understand and exhibit the basic tenets of leadership. The Education and Experience listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**:
Preferably Diploma in Electrical/Electronics with 3-5 years of work experience in supporting a facility management in IT/DC infrastructure.
