An Education Counselor is responsible for providing guidance and support to students in their educational and career development. This role involves helping students with academic planning, personal development, and addressing any issues that may affect their education. Education Counselors work in schools, colleges, universities, or other educational institutions.

Key Responsibilities:

- **Student Guidance and Counseling**:

- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students.
- Assist students in understanding and overcoming personal, social, or behavioral problems affecting their educational or vocational situations.
- Help students develop skills, such as time management, study habits, and coping strategies.
- **Academic Planning**:

- Assist students in creating educational plans based on their interests, abilities, and career goals.
- Guide students in course selection, registration, and understanding graduation requirements.
- Monitor student progress and intervene when necessary to ensure academic success.
- **Career Development**:

- Help students explore and identify career options through career assessments and counseling.
- Provide information on career paths, job market trends, and educational requirements for various careers.
- Assist students in developing resumes, cover letters, and preparing for job interviews.
- **Crisis Intervention**:

- Provide immediate support and intervention for students facing crises, such as personal loss, mental health issues, or substance abuse.
- Refer students to appropriate external resources or professionals for additional support.
- **Workshops and Seminars**:

- Plan and conduct workshops and seminars on various topics, including college admissions, financial aid, stress management, and career planning.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and community organizations to address student needs.
- **Administrative Duties**:

- Maintain accurate and confidential student records.
- Prepare reports and documentation related to student counseling and progress.
- Participate in professional development to stay current with educational trends and counseling techniques.
- **Collaboration**:

- Work closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student success.
- Develop and implement programs to improve the school’s overall counseling services.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine interest in student development.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Proficiency in using counseling and career assessment tools.
- A Master's degree in Counseling, Education, Psychology, or a related field.

Pay: ₹18,619.38 - ₹21,410.68 per month
