**Job Summary**:
In this role, you will participate in contract formation and/or administration. Contract formation includes participating with Bechtel’s client in the preparation and review of bid request packages and helping to develop project contracts operating procedures. Contract administration includes continual progress review, forecasting, and communication of issues to management with recommendations for resolution. Your work will help our client ensure contract compliance with project requirements.
**Major Responsibilities**:
**Contract Management**
- Implements the Supply Chain Assignment Schedule (or equivalent) which records the Project’s agreed assignment of various contract management tasks and the project procedures applicable to Contract Management
- Manages assigned contracts on behalf of Bechtel’s client, maintaining a continual review of progress and providing management with information regarding projected financial or technical difficulties
- Coordinates with designated staff on operational activities affecting contractual rights and obligations, contract performance, and other major matters
- Manage moderately complex contract changes by negotiating in conjunction with customer personnel and obtaining settlement with contractors
- Participates in contractual discussions of moderate complexity
- Communicates information programs to ensure mutual understanding of subcontract terms and conditions.
- Prepares periodic status reports for management.
- Works with Enterprise ERP Software and other Automation Tools
**Contract Formation**
- Responsibilities include the formation and award of large, moderately complex subcontracts
- Assists Bechtel’s client in conforming and ensuring contract execution
- Negotiation in the commitment of contracts
- Assists when instructed in the planning, staffing, work hour calculations, budgeting, and subcontract procedures preparation
- Develops and issues subcontracts and services agreements as assigned
- Prepares bidders’ lists and pre-qualifies bidders
- Develops and issues contracts and services agreements as assigned
- Supports the preparation of bidders’ lists and pre-qualification of bidders
- Forms bid request packages
- Coordinates bidders’ questions and answers to those questions
- Participate in Commercial Bid Summary and recommendations
- Prepares contract documents for execution
- Prepares and organizes assigned meetings, such as pre-bid, bid clarification and pre-award meetings, for the purpose of ensuring complete understanding and agreement between Bechtel‘s customer and the contractor on all contractual matters
- After reviewing plan and agenda with the supervisor, conducts meetings and prepares and issues meeting notes delineating important statements, required actions and schedules
- Assists project team when instructed in solving and attending to problems on commitments involving moderate monetary expenditure or risk, engineered technical specifications or supplementary commercial conditions.
**Education and Experience Requirements**:
- Requires Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 12-15 years of relevant work experience
