**Job Description: Demi Chef de Partie (Indian & Continental)**

**Position**: Demi Chef de Partie (DCDP)
**Department**: Kitchen
**Location**: Mumbai
**Reports To**: Head Chef

**Role Overview**

The Demi Chef de Partie (DCDP) will support the Chef de Partie in managing a specific kitchen section, preparing high-quality Indian and Continental dishes while ensuring smooth operations. This role is ideal for a skilled and motivated chef eager to develop leadership capabilities and refine culinary expertise.

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Food Preparation & Cooking**:

- Assist in preparing and cooking dishes within the assigned section, focusing on Indian and Continental cuisines.
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes.
- **Section Management**:

- Oversee the work of junior kitchen staff, such as Commis Chefs, and provide guidance as needed.
- Step in for the Chef de Partie during their absence, maintaining section operations.
- **Quality Assurance**:

- Check the quality and freshness of ingredients before use.
- Follow standard recipes and presentation guidelines for all menu items.
- **Hygiene & Safety**:

- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and assigned section.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- **Collaboration & Communication**:

- Work closely with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth workflow during service.
- Communicate any issues or requirements to the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef promptly.
- **Stock & Inventory Management**:

- Monitor stock levels for the assigned section and assist in ordering supplies.
- Minimize waste by ensuring proper storage and use of ingredients.

**Qualifications & Skills**
- **Education & Experience**:

- Diploma/Certificate in Culinary Arts or a related field preferred.
- 2-3 years of kitchen experience, with a focus on Indian and/or Continental cuisines.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency in cooking techniques and knowledge of Indian and Continental dishes.
- Familiarity with kitchen tools and equipment.
- **Soft Skills**:

- Strong teamwork and communication abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- **Personal Attributes**:

- Passion for cooking and a commitment to quality.
- Attention to detail and eagerness to learn and grow.
