Program Coordinator

The Program Coordinator will play a key role in supporting and managing the implementation of the various nutrition and health-focused initiatives at the Joywing Foundation. This includes overseeing the distribution of biofortified millet products to children in government schools and anganwadis, managing collaborations with stakeholders, monitoring project activities, and ensuring effective project delivery.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Program Management and Coordination**
- Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Joywing Foundation’s nutrition programs, particularly in the distribution of biofortified millet-based products in Rajasthan.
- Ensure the smooth and timely execution of initiatives such as HANSA, and other ongoing projects, adhering to project timelines, budgets, and targets.
- Act as the main point of contact between Joywing Foundation, government bodies (ICDS, Mid-day meal programs), and other stakeholders involved in the projects.
- Assist in preparing and executing project work plans, ensuring alignment with overall goals.

**Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting**
- Collect, analyze, and report data on program performance, including the health and nutrition status of children, delivery efficiency, and feedback from schools and anganwadis.
- Develop systems for monitoring and evaluating the impact of the programs, such as the health data collection app and other tech-based solutions.
- Support the creation of regular progress reports, impact assessment reports, and research findings, especially for government stakeholders and potential funders.

**Training and Capacity Building**
- Provide training to local Anganwadi workers, teachers, and Nutri-Buddies on the nutritional value of biofortified millets, program guidelines, and safe food handling.
- Organize workshops and nutrition education sessions for students, parents, and community members to raise awareness about the importance of nutrition and healthy eating habits.
- Support the development of Nutri-Pathshalas and ensure their smooth operation in target regions.

**Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration**
- Foster strong relationships with government officials, local community leaders, NGOs, and other organizations for collaborative initiatives.
- Represent Joywing Foundation in meetings with external stakeholders, partners, and potential donors.
- Support the development and implementation of partnership proposals and funding requests.

**Documentation and Administrative Support**
- Maintain accurate records of program activities, budgets, contracts, and reports.
- Assist in preparing proposals and presentations for internal and external purposes.

**Required Qualifications and Skills**:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Health, Nutrition, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- **Experience**:
○ 0-2 years of experience in program coordination, preferably in the field of nutrition, public health, or rural development.

○ Experience in working with government programs such as ICDS, Mid-Day Meals, or similar initiatives.

○ Familiarity with biofortified food products, community-based programs, or women’s empowerment projects is a plus.

**-Skills**:
○ Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

○ Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) for reporting, stakeholder engagement, and training.

○ Knowledge of data collection, analysis, and reporting tools, including mobile apps, spreadsheets, and databases.

○ Ability to work with diverse stakeholders, including government bodies, NGOs, community leaders, and beneficiaries.

○ Familiarity with food safety and nutrition guidelines.

○ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
