Student Counseling: Provide career counseling and guidance to students, helping them identify their career goals, enhance their resumes, and develop job search strategies. Conduct mock interviews and offer constructive feedback to prepare students for interviews.
Internship Programs: Collaborate with industry partners to develop and implement internship programs. Coordinate the placement of students in internships, ensuring they gain valuable work experience relevant to their field of study.
Alumni Network: Engage with alumni to leverage their professional networks for placement opportunities. Foster alumni relationships and maintain regular communication to facilitate job referrals and mentorship opportunities.
Industry Research: Stay updated with industry trends, market demands, and emerging job opportunities. Provide insights to students and faculty regarding in-demand skills and job market expectations.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of student placements, employer interactions, and placement statistics. Generate reports and presentations on placement activities for management and stakeholders.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Education, Human Resources, Counseling)
- Experience in career counseling, recruitment, or related roles
- Strong networking and relationship-building skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, employers, and alumni
- Knowledge of current industry trends and job market demands
- Proficiency in using job portals, databases, and office productivity tools
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Analytical mindset for data analysis and reporting
