**Role in Brief**:
We are looking for an urban planner to join our team. The urban planner will get an opportunity to work on various master plans and town planning schemes spread across the country. The urban planner will get an opportunity to work on large-scale, complex projects and potentially collaborate with World Bank professionals for some of the projects.

**Responsibilities**:

- Taking ownership of work and working effectively under the supervision of the Project lead.
- Carrying out detailed data collection and analysis for various site locations
- Meeting public officials and the public regarding development plans and land use.
- Coordinating with local government officials for various stages of the master planning.
- Traveling to different sites and collaboratively working with the team based there.
- Drafting technical reports and presentations with minimum guidance.
- Completing specifically assigned tasks in the given time frame.
- Contribute, or otherwise assist, the work of the Urban Planning team as required.

**Education**:

- Mandatory: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Urban Planning
- Preferred: Master’s degree in Urban Planning

**Experience**:

- Years: Upto 3 years
- Industry: Urban Planning

**Skills (mandatory)**:

- Adept with various stages of the masterplan and allied activities and able to plan and organize the required activities effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build rapport across levels and build good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to draft documents with grammatical accuracy and ability to communicate well across all levels of the organisation.
- Ability to manage sensitive and sometimes confidential information.
- Skilled user of AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and MS Office
- Time & priority management, and ability to work under pressure.
- Proactiveness, willingness to learn, and enthusiasm to take initiative and drive it through the end.

**Skills (preferred)**:

- Proficiency in written and verbal communication in Tamil and English language to facilitate effective communication between the teams.
