Cosmetic Formulator

As a **Chemist Formulator**, you will play a crucial role in the research, design, and development of new formulations and products for pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food, and chemical manufacturing. You will be responsible for formulating and optimizing product compositions, conducting experiments, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development.

**Responsibilities**:

- Formulation Design: Utilize your scientific expertise and knowledge of raw materials to design and develop novel formulations for new products or improve existing ones. This involves understanding customer requirements, market trends, and regulatory guidelines.
- Experimental Design and Execution: Develop experimental plans and conduct laboratory-scale experiments to optimize formulations, evaluate product performance, and troubleshoot issues. Employ statistical analysis to interpret data and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Product Characterization: Perform comprehensive physical and chemical characterization of formulations and products using analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, spectroscopy, microscopy, and rheology. Analyze results to ensure product quality, stability, and compliance with specifications.
- Scale-up and Manufacturing Support: Collaborate with manufacturing teams to transfer laboratory-scale formulations to pilot or full-scale production. Provide technical guidance and support during scale-up, addressing challenges and ensuring product consistency.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of experimental procedures, observations, and results. Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation necessary for regulatory filings, intellectual property protection, or internal communication.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including researchers, engineers, quality control, and regulatory affairs, to ensure alignment of formulation development activities with project goals and timelines.
- Research and Innovation: Stay updated with the latest scientific advancements, industry trends, and regulatory requirements related to formulation and product development. Continuously explore new technologies, materials, and techniques to drive innovation and enhance product performance.
- Quality and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all formulation activities comply with relevant quality standards, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements. Contribute to the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices.

**Requirements and Skills**:

- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. A higher degree (Master's or Ph.D.) is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of formulation principles, materials science, and physicochemical characterization techniques.
- 10-12 years of experience in formulation development within relevant industries such as pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food, or chemicals.
- Proficiency in experimental design, statistical analysis, and data interpretation.
- Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and quality management systems.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under deadlines.

**Salary**: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year
