The Host/Hostess is a vital member of the hospitality team, responsible for creating a positive first impression for guests. This role involves greeting and seating guests, managing reservations, and coordinating with other staff to ensure a smooth and enjoyable dining experience. The Host/Hostess plays a crucial role in setting the tone for the establishment and contributing to overall customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
**Greeting and Seating**:Warmly welcome guests as they arrive.
Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor while interacting with guests.
Manage the seating chart efficiently to optimize table turnover and accommodate reservations.
**Reservation Management**:Record and manage reservations, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
Communicate reservation status to other staff members.
Handle any changes or special requests from guests regarding seating preferences.
**Communication**:Effectively communicate with servers, kitchen staff, and other team members to ensure a smooth flow of service.
Provide accurate wait times to guests and manage expectations during peak periods.
**Customer Service**:Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
Assist in resolving any issues related to seating, service, or other guest needs.
**Maintaining a Tidy Entrance Area**:Keep the entrance area clean and organized.
Ensure menus and promotional materials are available and in good condition.
**Team Collaboration**:Work collaboratively with other front-of-house and back-of-house staff to enhance overall customer experience.
Communicate effectively with the management team regarding any issues or suggestions for improvement.
**Upselling and Promotions**:Familiarize yourself with menu items and promotions to provide information to guests.
Encourage guests to explore special menu items or promotions when appropriate.
**Multi-Tasking**:Handle multiple tasks simultaneously, such as answering phones, managing reservations, and greeting guests.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Customer-focused with a positive attitude.
- Basic knowledge of restaurant operations and terminology.
The Host/Hostess is often the first and last point of contact for guests, making their role integral to the overall success of the establishment. A welcoming and efficient host/hostess contributes significantly to a positive dining experience and customer satisfaction.

Pay: ₹8,783.32 - ₹30,000.00 per month
