**Job Title**:Chinese Chef Commis (**Indian passport is mandatory**) **Department**:Kitchen **Brand**: Wok to Walk **Reporting to**:Restaurant Manager/Area Manager **Location**: Terminal 1/New Delhi 4 Commies 1st - Salary - 22K 4 Commies 2nd - Salary - 18 to 20K 4 Commies 3rd - Salary - 14 to 17K **A "Chinese Chef Commis" is an entry-level cook in a Chinese restaurant kitchen, primarily responsible for basic food preparation tasks like chopping vegetables, portioning meat, prepping ingredients, and assisting senior chefs in cooking various Chinese dishes, while learning the specific techniques and flavors of Chinese cuisine; essentially a junior chef in training focused on Chinese culinary practices.** Key points about a Chinese Chef Commis: Basic skills: Proficient in knife skills, measuring ingredients, cleaning and organizing work stations. Learning phase: Primarily focused on learning Chinese cooking methods, including stir-frying, steaming, deep-frying, and proper seasoning techniques. Ingredient knowledge: Familiarity with a wide range of Chinese ingredients like different vegetables, meats, herbs, and sauces. Support role: Assists senior chefs by preparing ingredients, setting up cooking stations, and plating dishes. Hygiene standards: Adheres to strict kitchen hygiene and safety regulations. Typical responsibilities might include: Chopping vegetables for stir-fries Marinating meats for stir-frying Preparing sauces and broths Wrapping dumplings or spring rolls Cleaning and prepping cooking equipment Following recipes and instructions from senior chefs Maintaining a clean and organized workspace **Education and Experience Requirements**: - High school degree or equivalent - 3-5 years’ experience in high-volume kitchens - Previous kitchen management experience **Job Type**: Permanent Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month Ability to commute/relocate: - Delhi District, Delhi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred) **Education**: - Higher Secondary(12th Pass) (preferred) **Experience**: - Chef: 3 years (preferred) - total work: 5 years (preferred) Work Location: In person
