An Executive Assistant (EA) to a Principal is primarily responsible for managing the Principal's calendar, handling communication, coordinating administrative tasks, and acting as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the smooth operation of the Principal's office while maintaining confidentiality and upholding school policies. Key responsibilities of an EA to Principal include:
- **Calendar Management**:
- Scheduling meetings, appointments, and conferences for the Principal.
- Managing conflicts and prioritizing appointments.
- Sending meeting reminders and preparing agendas.
- **Communication Management**:
- Answering phone calls and directing inquiries to the appropriate staff.
- Preparing and distributing official school communications.
- **Administrative Tasks**:
- Maintaining accurate records and files, including confidential documents.
- Preparing reports and presentations for the Principal.
- Handling travel arrangements for the Principal.
- Managing office supplies and equipment.
- **Liaison and Coordination**:
- Acting as a primary point of contact for staff, parents, students, and community members.
- Facilitating communication between the Principal's office and other departments within the school.
- Coordinating special events and school functions.
- **Project Management**:
- Assisting the Principal with specific projects as assigned, including data collection and analysis.
- Following up on project deadlines and progress.
- **Office Management**:
- Maintaining a professional and organized office environment.
- Ensuring compliance with school policies and procedures.
