**Role description**:
As a member of the Local People Service team, the Employee Relations Advisor will establish trusted relationships with employees & line managers and provide front line advisory support on people initiatives, programs, or challenges. They will also collaborate with business partner community and broader people services teams to support the total employee experience within a geographic area. The role will work closely with the local Employee Relations Manager or Country Head of People Services to support an inclusive high performing organization, in line with the strategic people and culture direction.
- Act as a key point of contact for employees & line managers on people issues
- Provide support to line managers and the People Business Partner community on people matters including (including disciplinary, grievance, performance management & employee relations investigation)
- Work with Centers of Excellence including Learning and Development, Recruitment, Strategic Workforce Planning, International HR, People Shared Services, Compensation and Benefits and Payroll to provide a wide range of People Services to stakeholders
- Work closely with the People Shared Service Centre to ensure delivery of efficient and high quality people services
- Coach, support and build capability in line managers to manage the employment relationship effectively
- Support the development and maintenance of People Policies and processes
- Coach, counsel, and guide managers with regards to People policy queries
- Provide support in grievance and disciplinary hearings
- Pro-actively monitor absence & leave and support employees and managers to facilitate return to work
- Conduct exit interviews and ensure feedback is provided to the business and business partners (where appropriate) with recommendations for associated interventions to improve retention.
- Support change initiatives, including acquisitions, restructures, redundancies, redeployment, and office closures
- Provision and analysis of management information to the business to inform decision making
- Share knowledge and best practice with the wider People Services team to build capability
- Support key people processes ensuring that they deliver to business needs **General**
- Responsible for delivering proactive, timely, and high quality employee relations advisory service
- The role holder will be expected to work across different GBAs where required
- The Employee Relations Advisor will work collaboratively within the People Operating model to support the wider business
- Play a key role in the local People Services network and take an active role on group wide People projects as needed

- Act as a visible steward of health and safety and ensuring familiarity and compliance with Health and Safety regulations and guidelines.

- Demonstrated management & leadership skills and ability to coach and guide a team of HR professionals
- Having a broad knowledge of all major components of People related functions, employee/labour relations, management of change, diversity, compensation, benefits and talent development.
- Business Fluency with financial acumen and operations knowledge.
- Stakeholder management and the maturity to deal with local management at all levels
- High level communication skills, strong consulting, coaching and presentation skills.
