**JOB DETAILS**:
Job Title/Designation: Placement Coordinator

**JOB PURPOSE**:
Placement Officer facilitates professional development and employment search support to students with a demonstrated understanding of employer/industry needs and expectations. He/ She works closely with students to identify interests, skills, needs, employment barriers and available resources and responds to all student questions or requests regarding employment.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**:
Placement Coordinator will be responsible for preparing Annual Placement Plan/Re Placement Plan for all students or students placed a year before respectively, to ensure placement targets are met according to plans:

- Arrange field visits to companies for students after completion of 1st Semester.
- Responsible to collect information and create data bank of students.
- Responsible for pre placement, placement and post placement procedures

**Pre-Placement Activities**
- Conduct sessions on success interviews and take mock interviews in presence of the faculty to build confidence; to facilitate timely placement lectures in coordination with the Center Supervisor.
- Visit Industries and Entrepreneurs to understand their requirements.
- Create a data bank on vacancies in the market by online study, companies, newspaper and so on
- Prepare the list of companies visiting campus for placements.

**Placement Activities**
- Setup interviews with the companies, inform students and coordinate for interviews.
- Place the right student at the right job; ensure placements preferably at the benchmark salaries in companies.

**Post Placement Activities**
- Track performance and capture feedback of placed students t regular periodicity from existing employers
- Prepare monthly placement report
- Maintain Alumni database; to conduct Alumni Mets
- Prepare monthly consolidated report detailing students completed the course, students appeared for the exams, students passed and placement information.

**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**:
**Qualifications**

Mandatory: Graduate in any stream, Desired: MBA in HR/Marketing

**Experience**

Relevant: 1 to 3 years in HR/ Placement/ Marketing field.
