Fact Settlements

Purpose of Role:_

- SSGM Boston is migrating operational support functions from our Boston headquarters to Bangalore, India to form our ‘captive’ environment.
- We are staffing the ‘captive’ with a new workforce ranging from the AVP level (Senior Manager) down through Team Leads (Assistant Managers) and Senior Associates.
- As part of GT Settlement, Senior Associate will be responsible for the daily tasks and controls regarding Settlement duties, including Global Treasury trade settlements at Fed / DTC, collateral receipt and deliveries (securities and cash), and WSS/ICM/Chips payments.
- Along with GT Settlement senior associate is also responsible for GT FACT OPS The SSGM Funding and Collateral Transformation team (FaCT) engages in Reverse Repo transactions with Brokers, Bank Repo Transactions with Custodied Clients, and Sponsored Member Repo and Reverse Repo transactions on behalf of Custodied and 3rd Party Clients. FaCT additionally executes Repo transactions with Brokers on behalf of the Global Treasury BU.
- The North American SSGM FaCT operations is responsible for the daily settlement, netting validation, security master maintenance, and claims management for all FaCT business activity.
- The Senior Associate will be expected to engage and communicate daily with:

- SSGM GT Ops Operation teams
- GT /FACT Traders
- SSGM Operations teams (EC / FX)
- WSO Lending Operations
- Depositories

- Ensure that all requisite processing - and related controls are completed on time and to meet established market deadlines.
- Clearly escalate & explain issues or exceptions that may impact our business with immediate activation of review and tracking. Refresh and implement controls to reduce operational risk.

- Client and Management Reporting- Develop effective working relationships with all SSGM staff at all levels across all locations.
- Provide appropriate MIS data/feedback as and when requested to support business unit decision making.

- Level of Education/ Specific Qualifications:_
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or related field.
- 1+ years of experience working in Settlement/ Operations group- Skills and Experience - _

- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Knowledge of Repos, cash payment. Market deadlines required.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/priorities in accordance with timeframes and expectations.
