The Experian Consumer Services Product Team works as a core part of a successful digital business that has been through a complete technical and organisational transformation.

We are looking for a Product Owner to join our growing team within the identity theft and fraud protection team. Our mission is to provide piece of mind to our customers by safeguarding them and protecting their data. Protecting against fraud and helping our customers monitor their identity is one of the top reason for using Experian, and we have exciting ambitions as we look to deliver the next generation of product innovations.

The role will involve working as part of cross-functional delivery teams that include Product Owners, Developers, Designers, and Test specialists amongst others. You will work closely with the Product Manager to ensure alignment with the product vision and strategy, whilst you will have autonomy to define and prioritise the product backlog for your area, as well as plan and execute product increments.

We’ve adopted a flexible hybrid working model that includes the ability for remote working and an on-site team collaboration environment. When in the office, our amazing agile teams collaborate in Nottingham, London, and India.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- You’ll have ownership and focus of a team backlog, working closely with your engineering team to plan and deliver features aligned to the product vision and strategy.
- You’ll collaborate with Product Managers and Product Designers to create great user experience.
- You will work with the team to plan increments of work with stretching shared objectives and key results, along with championing continued incremental improvement, to deliver on the product strategy across web and app.
- You’ll lead the team in the refinement of new work, prioritise the sprint backlog, balancing the demands of the business, user experience, and tech.You’ll be accountable to ensure features meet acceptance criteria, achieve the desired outcome, and are ready for release.
- You’ll manage product releases, looking at triage and management of inevitable bugs and issues that come with software development, and reporting on the impact of what you decide to ship.

**Who you are**:

- At least 4 years of experience on direct-to-consumer products as a Product Owner or similar role where you’ve helped create and refine ideas and concepts through to delivery with development teams rather than just delivery of a well-defined feature list.
- You are self motivated and can work independently. You’ve worked in ambiguous environment in the past and you’ve shown that you can switch contexts where needed. You know how to keep the bigger picture in mind.
- You are technically curious, and display a strong product sense and mindset that goes beyond code release and includes in-product performance metrics and tracking.
- You have experience of rapidly spotting and understanding problems and presenting potential solutions to a broad audience in a timely way.
- You’re a natural collaborator and enjoy driving change. You’ve shown in the past that you have the ability to work well with tech teams.
- You display excellent communication skills, verbally and written.
- You’re excited by the mission and you’re interested in the domain of fraud and identity theft prevention and detection.

**It would be great if you also had some of the following experience**:

- Product development on both web and mobile apps.
- Working with API integration, micro-service, and cloud platform development.
- Building reliable and scalable platforms for our customers.

You’d be joining a delivery team who use Scrum and would be part of an organisation that focuses on agility at its core. You’ll find it easiest to understand the way we work if you’ve worked using Agile delivery methods in the past, but it’s not mandatory. We also have regular knowledge sharing sessions, hack days, team building days and so much more.
