JMT Consultants Detailing Private Limited is a Global leading steel detailing, engineer and API development firm seeking an Estimator to join our dedicated team.

We are seeking a skilled, motivated Estimator to join our growing team. They will have the ability to problem solve and make sound decisions to ensure project timelines are met. You must have a keen attention to detail and skills at estimating projects from a comprehensive view to set our client’s expectations accurately.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and/or assist in completing budgetary and final estimating of scopes of work
- Read blueprints and analyze all other applicable documents to prepare estimates
- Use knowledge to focus work and drive short and long-term solutions
- Assess projects by identifying project requirements, regarding time, labor, and material costs
- Responsible for detailed cost estimates and qualification development for bid proposals
- Perform detailed structural and miscellaneous take-offs
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and architects during estimate creation to ensure overall accuracy
- Present estimates to clients in a timely and polite manner
- Other projects as assigned
- Assist with Project Controls (Schedule/Cost control)

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Must be proficient with MS Office, especially Excel
- Tekla Powerfab or Fabsuite experience is an asset, but not required
- Work experience in tilt panels manufacturing facilities, and schools is an asset, but not required
- Must have a minimum of three years’ experience specifically in estimating steel detailing projects
- Must have experience in reading US design drawings
- Interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal are required
- Critical thinking, analytical, and organizational skills
