The Cost Estimation Engineer is responsible for accurately estimating the cost of various construction and renovation projects, including civil, interior and other related works. This role involves preparing rate analysis, schedule of rates, and supporting the creation of tender Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for the company. The Cost Estimation Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the competitiveness and profitability of the company's bids for construction and renovation projects.

**Roles & Responsibilities**
- Project Analysis: Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documents to understand the scope of work. Collaborate with architects, designers, and other stakeholders to gather relevant information.
- Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates for interior construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs. Use specialized software and tools to create accurate estimates. Consider regional price variations and market conditions.
- Cost Breakdowns: Create comprehensive cost breakdowns for different project components, such as framing, drywall, flooring, electrical, plumbing, and finishes. Provide a clear and organized breakdown of costs to facilitate decision-making and budget allocation.
- Value Engineering: Suggest cost-effective alternatives and value engineering options to reduce project costs while maintaining quality and functionality.
- Bid Management: Assist in the preparation of bid packages for subcontractors and suppliers. Evaluate and analyze bids from subcontractors and suppliers to determine the most cost-effective options.
- _Budget Development: _Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to establish project budgets based on the cost estimates.
- _Cost Tracking:_ Continuously monitor and update project costs during construction to ensure they align with the budget. Identify cost overruns and propose corrective actions.
- _Change Order Management:_ Evaluate and process change orders, which may involve additional costs or savings, and ensure they are properly documented and approved.
- _Cost Reporting:_ Prepare regular cost reports and forecasts to keep project stakeholders informed about budget performance.
- _Risk Analysis:_ Assess potential risks and uncertainties that may impact project costs and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- _Benchmarking:_ Keep updated on industry trends and market prices to ensure cost estimates are competitive and accurate.
- _Regulatory Compliance:_ Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations, and incorporate any required permits or fees into cost estimates.
- _Documentation:_ Maintain detailed records of cost estimates, change orders, and all financial aspects of the project.
- _Communication:_ Communicate effectively with project teams, clients, and subcontractors to address cost-related concerns and provide information as needed.
- _Quality Control:_ Work to balance cost considerations with maintaining high-quality construction standards.
- _Post-Construction Analysis:_ Conduct post-construction cost analysis to evaluate the accuracy of initial estimates and identify areas for improvement in future projects.
