Product Owner

We are looking for a **Product Owner - Digital Business Bank** to join our banking client’s **Business Banking Digital Team** in Dubai. This role is a great opportunity for a **strategic and delivery-focused professional** to drive the development of a **disruptive digital proposition** for **SME customers**.

The **Product Owner (PO)** will lead an **IT agile squad** and work closely with multiple **functional stakeholders** to deliver **key features and solutions** that enhance the banking proposition.

**Job Purpose**

To provide strategic and delivery support to the agile squad of Digital Business Bank that will deliver key features, solutions of the banking proposition.

Product Owner -Digital Business Bank (PO) will be responsible for driving the development and rollout of a disruptive digital proposition for SME customers to enable new customer acquisition under the guidance of Group Head of Business Banking.

The job will entail conceptualizing and executing the strategic agenda for the business, with the purpose of maximizing growth, customer experience, market share & profitability for the segment. PO will lead the IT agile squad that will contribute towards the development of the digital proposition, while working in collaboration with various functional stakeholders. The key elements that PO will be responsible are as follows:

- **Product Backlog Management (for relevant Squad)**:
- Creation of Epics/Features/User Stories
- Creation of Acceptance Criteria
- Prioritization of Items in Product Backlog
- Making Product Backlog visible and understandable
- **In Conjunction with the Group Head of Business Bank**:
- Responsible for the Product Lifecycle and Return on Investment (ROI) of Product i.e. system roadmap and strategy
- Responsible for maximizing delivered value by defining the Minimal Viable Product (MVP) and ensuring early value delivery
- Responsible for creating the Release Backlog
- Responsible for the creation/maintaining Functional and Operational Processes associated with Product
- Bring Customer Perspective and be the voice of Customer
- Assist in managing and coordinating all relevant stakeholders who contribute to the product functionally or operationally
- Focal point for all issues and conflict management
- Sprint Planning and Backlog Grooming

**In addition**:

- Releasing a product that meets the business units needs to achieve the bank's goals assigned to squad. This translates to Seamless integration between the systems.
- Defining and prioritizing requirements (stories) in the Squad Backlog and accepting requirements (stories) as completed
- Managing the product:
- Develop and align product vision with relevant stakeholders
- Define product requirements (stories)
- Accept results at demonstration
- Setting targets and work priorities:
- Prioritize the backlog of his/her squad in terms of requirements (stories) to achieve business goals
- Ensures the squad correctly understands the requirements

**Requirements**:
**A. Education**
- Minimum degree or experience in Design, Product Management, IT, Agile, Product Ownership
- Tertiary education / preferably post graduate qualifications

**B. Experiences**
- Around 3-5 years of experience in banking or any other financial services industry
- Product Management or Product Owner certifications on Agile project methodology

**C. Knowledge & Skills**
- Strong communication skills to convey complex ideas and alternatives
- Strong analytical skills, structured thinking and problem solving skills to direct a squad toward the right decisions
- Credibility and leadership qualities to take product decisions in real time
