**Job Context & Major Challenges**:
The Plant is over 50 years old and process improvements have evolved over the years. Till 1995-96, there was no competition and market was protected. New Plants with superior technology came up and cheaper products like cotton and polyester came up in direct competition to VSF. New products began to be introduced in markets, which were also opening up to other players. VSF sales started getting affected and now pose a major challenge for growth and survival.

In order to remain competitive in the market, product range has been enhanced over the years, within the process limitations. The quality of pulp is also not uniform, affecting the final product quality. Complexity is compounded by the emphasis on a multiple product range for different segments / customers.
Complexities/challenges
Attending Tax matters of for SFD, EFD, 40MW and 2 Subsidiary Companies of the Grasim and 4 Investments Companies of Group from Nagda and Liasioning with Income tax Authorities.
Co-ordination with Various Departments during the Planning & Budgeting Exercise.

Interacting with and providing details to various legal consultants in respect of various appeals & pending matters.
Preparation of Monthly Information for submission to Higher Ups relating to Various Dates & Status of Hearings & Appeals.

Advance Fringe Benefit Tax & Fringe Benefit Tax Audit Report.

- SFD, 40MW & EFD. Estimation and Calculation of Fringe Benefit Liability and payment of Advance Fringe Benefit Tax as per schedules.
Preparation of Annual Fringe Benefit Report and Tax Audit Report.

Forex Exposure Report, Forex Gain/Loss Statements, Import Payments & Forex Hedging.

- SFD, 40MW & EFD.
Preparation of Monthly Unit Forex Exposure Report estimating the Forex Exposure for next 6 months to be submitted to CFD.
Preparation of Quarterly Forex Gain/Loss Statements for the purpose of reporting to CFD.
Monitoring of Import Payments on regular basis and ensuring Fund Availability in respect of the same.
Hedging of Forex Exposures by taking Covers and Ensuring Proper Utilization of the same.

Annual Planning & Budgeting Exercise.

Computation of Estimated Depreciation as per Companies Act & Income Tax Act on the basis of P&B.

Quarterly Fixed Assets Schedule & Calculation of Depreciation.

- SFD, 40MW & EFD. Assisting in Preparation of Various Additions & Deletion Details on Quarterly Basis for the purpose of preparation of Fixed Assets Register.
Computation of Depreciation as per Companies Act and Income Tax Act.

Master of Accounting

4-5 Years
