Today - Secret - Unspecified - Unspecified - IT - Hardware Fort Eustis, VA** (ON-SITE/OFFICE)** The Alaka'ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOC) is looking for a **Systems Administrator V** to support a government customer located at **Fort Eustis, Virginia**. Responsible for resolving IT hardware and software infrastructure (servers, network, security, etc.) issues using systems analysis techniques and procedures to ensure appropriate function of hardware, software or system functional specifications. **DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES**: - Analyzes, troubleshoots and resolves issues with IT infrastructure including user systems, servers, and storage and network connectivity. - Provides system administration for assigned infrastructure and establishes and maintains security as it relates to users. - Applies security patches and operating system upgrades to ensure the security and integrity of the technical environment. - Maintains all configuration documentation for assigned infrastructure. - Establishes and maintains user accounts, assigning file permissions and establishing password and account policies. - Perform and remediate STIG checklists. - Installs, upgrades, configures, tests, maintains and supports operating system software in a production environment. - Participates in reviewing performance logs and monitors system performance. - Troubleshoots and resolves basic level system hardware, software and communications problems and aids in performing configurations and adjustments to enhance database file capacity; performs automated and manual backup and restore processes. - Installs, configure and test software packages. **DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS**: IAT Level II Certification Required (i.e. CCNA Security, Security+ CE, GSEC, GIC SP, S SCP, CySA+**) IAW AR 25-2 **REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE**: Server 2016 and VMware Proficient **DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIECE**: VMWare Certified Professional (VCP) certification a huge plus. **REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE**: - Must be a U.S. Citizen - Secret Clearance Required The Alaka'ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is a fast-growing government service provider.
