Job Title: IT System Administrator

Location: Chennai

Position Type: Full-Time

Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
**Active Directory Management**:

- Manage, configure, and maintain Active Directory services, including user accounts, security groups, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and OU structures.
- Implement and manage AD replication, DNS, and other directory services to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Perform AD health checks and troubleshoot replication issues, authentication failures, and other related problems.

**System Administration**:

- Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, including installation, configuration, patch management, and performance monitoring.
- Manage and monitor server and network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Ensure the integrity and availability of critical systems through regular backups, disaster recovery planning, and failover testing.

**Security**
- Implement and enforce security policies, access controls, and encryption protocols to protect organizational assets.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents, vulnerabilities, and threats in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular audits of user accounts, permissions, and access levels to maintain compliance with security standards.

**Technical Support**
- Provide second and third-level support for end-user and system-related issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network-related problems promptly.
- Develop and maintain documentation, including standard operating procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.

**Continuous Improvement**:

- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to system administration and AD.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance system performance, security, and user experience.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support IT projects, deployments, and upgrades.

**Education**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

**Experience**:

- **2 - 3 years of experience in IT system administration, with a strong focus on Active Directory management.**
- Experience with Windows Server, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and related network protocols.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) is a plus.

**Skills**
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory architecture, design, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in Windows Server operating systems and related infrastructure.
- Understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and security best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
