Job Title: System Administrator

Experience: 4+ years of experience with Expertise in Server and Networking

Location: Chennai

Key Responsibilities:

- **Server Management**: Install, configure, and manage both physical and virtual servers (Windows, Linux, and Unix). Ensure servers are optimized for performance, security, and reliability.
- **Network Administration**: Administer and troubleshoot networking infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and network connectivity across all company locations.
- **System Integration**: Oversee the integration of systems, hardware, software, and networking equipment to ensure seamless operation.
- **Performance Monitoring**: Continuously monitor server and network performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to improve efficiency and prevent system downtime.
- **Security Management**: Implement security policies and manage security solutions such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and VPNs to protect systems from threats.
- **Backup & Disaster Recovery**:Design, implement, and maintain robust backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity and data protection.
- **Network Troubleshooting**: Identify and resolve network issues related to connectivity, bandwidth, routing, and protocol configuration.
- **Automation & Scripting**: Write and maintain automation scripts (Bash, PowerShell, Python) for server configuration, monitoring, and management tasks.
- **System Upgrades & Patching**: Plan, test, and execute regular upgrades and patches for both server systems and network devices, ensuring mínimal disruption to business operations.
- **Documentation**: Maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, network topologies, troubleshooting procedures, and disaster recovery processes.
- **Compliance & Best Practices**:Ensure that systems and networks adhere to industry standards, security protocols, and data protection regulations.

Required Qualifications:

- Experience: 4+ years of experience in system administration, with a strong focus on server management and network administration.
- Server Management Skills:

- Extensive experience with server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux distributions such as RedHat, Ubuntu, or CentOS).
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, KVM).
- Expertise in server performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Networking Skills:

- In-depth knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN, Routing, Switching).
- Hands-on experience configuring and managing networking equipment (routers, switches, firewalls).
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues (e.g., latency, packet loss, bandwidth issues).
- Security Expertise:

- Strong experience with network security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Familiarity with securing both physical and virtual servers from security vulnerabilities.
- Backup & Disaster Recovery: Experience in implementing and managing backup systems, disaster recovery plans, and ensuring business continuity.
- Automation & Scripting: Proficiency in scripting (Bash, PowerShell, or Python) to automate system management tasks.
- Monitoring Tools: Experience with system monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, SolarWinds, or PRTG) for performance analysis and proactive troubleshooting.
- Certifications (preferred):

- Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or higher.
- CompTIA Network+ or Security+.
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA).
