**Job Summary**:
Installs and maintains Oracle EBS R12.2 Application and Oracle Fusion middleware based systems. Plans and performs Oracle EBS Application system upgrade. Designs, develops and maintains Oracle databases, Oracle backup and recovery systems. Implements database security infrastructure and manages user access accounts. Collaborates with architects and technical specialists to identify proper hardware and software implementations. Develops, plans and establishes database performance baselines. Monitors performance trends to identify and correct problems. Oracle SOA system knowledge is a plus.

**Position Responsibilities**:

- Applies extensive job practices, techniques, standards, principles, theories, and concepts. Has full knowledge of other related disciplines. Recognized as a job expert within the department/organization.
- Participates as an active team member and participant in on call, planned maintenance, production outages, and projects.
- Directs the design, analysis and development of backup and recovery systems by working with the customer for support and implementation of more complex databases and environments. Serves as primary contact for vendors and system architects to represent customer requirements. Creates documentation for backup and recovery. Defines database validation requirements to ensure database integrity.
- Consults with customers and/or database modelers and architects to plan and develop more complex database designs. Directs the database design. Participates in the change process for review of requested changes.
- Introduces company-wide database direction and initiatives. Recommends appropriate hardware and software solutions based on customer requirements to improve software quality, efficiency and to minimize cost within the company. Consults with architects to determine standard Boeing solutions. Communicates best practices across the organization
- Develops a plan and directs implementation of database security infrastructure that coincides with policy requirements, in conjunction with Boeing and/or customer security standards. Implements and validates security infrastructure to meet corporate and government guidelines. Makes recommendations for security best practices.
- Documents database administration related information in a common location accessible to the rest of team members.

**Basic Qualifications**:

- Extensive hands on knowledge with Oracle 19c RDBMS in a production environment.
- Guides the successful completion of database related projects.
- Displays a spirit of wanting to learn more and do more while setting an example to the team.
- Represents the database team with integrity and leadership.
- Demonstrates industry best practices and skills with, oracle databases, backup and recovery, Linux operating systems, and performance tuning.
- Displays excellent oral and written communication skills to team members, peers, customers and management.

**Typical Experience**:

- Oracle R12.2 EBS Application Experience
- Database administration in an Oracle Production environment.
- Unix and Linux Operating system experience.
- PL/SQL and SQL experience desired.
- Oracle SOA system knowledge desired.
- Bachelor’s 8 - 12 Years and Masters 8 -11 years of work experience
