E-commerce Executive Job Description

Overview

An e-commerce executive plays a pivotal role in driving business success, especially in today’s world where most sales happen online. They oversee and optimize various aspects of e-commerce operations, including website functionality, user experience, product listings, managing inventories, processing orders, online payments, order fulfillment, and customer service. Their responsibilities also include managing the company’s marketing activities and ensuring the product fits the buyer in the targeted region. By doing so, they help the company improve its online sales, enhance customer satisfaction, and unlock the full potential of its e-commerce business.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Maintain Sales Touchpoints**: Oversee and maintain all sales touchpoints, including the company website, online marketplaces, and aggregators.
- **Online Sales Management**: Manage online sales, monitor stock inventories, and optimize the overall customer experience.
- **E-commerce Growth Strategies**: Develop and implement effective e-commerce growth strategies to identify and capture new customer bases and business opportunities.
- **End-to-End Customer Journey Optimization**: Optimize the end-to-end e-commerce journey for customers, from lead generation to conversion and post-purchase follow-up.
- **Platform Management**: Manage and maintain e-commerce platforms, including product listings, pricing, and inventory management.
- **Collaboration with Other Departments**: Work closely with other departments such as marketing, content, and customer service to enhance the customer experience and ensure smooth operations.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in e-commerce operations and sales.
- Strong analytical skills to analyze sales data and identify growth opportunities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Passion for customer service and a knack for sales.
