You will be working as Test Automation Architect and will be part of Motion Business Area for System Drives division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to R&D Department Lead and will be responsible for Initiating and driving technology, software, product and solution development using in-depth technical expertise in a specific area. Supporting strategic corporate technology management and future product, software, solution architecture. Acting as the first point of contact in research and development (R&D), software development, product engineering for in-depth product or technology-related issues.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Collaborating with global and local R&D teams, plan firmware test development, its automation and releases
- Designing test cases and executing the test automation as per the R&D test strategy
- Leading the team to explore the gaps in quality and design challenging test scenarios with automation
- Leading the CI/CD activities from the local R&D and align with the global DevOps strategy
- Demonstrating strong commitment to quality culture in ABB R&D. Taking risk, share success and failures in the team. Innovative thinking and challenging the current situations

**Your background**:

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electronics, electrical engineering or related field
- Minimum 8 years of experience in test automation, testing, test planning and test strategies
- Strong knowledge about test automation, CI/CD processes, Jenkins or equivalent tool
- Programming skills in python, C# with good OOPs concepts
- Good hands on knowledge on any test automation frame work or equivalent test frameworks
- Hands on experience in creating CI/CD pipelines, writing test automation scripts and creative exploratory testing
- Having knowledge on Drives, DCS Systems and PLC will have an added advantage
